Northwest One – Future Activity

The proposed development program for Northwest One includes over 1,000 new residential units, 250,000 square feet of commercial development and open space.

The remaining redevelopment footprint for Northwest One includes the site of the former Temple Courts, and what is now Turnkey. A solicitation will be issued during the summer of 2014 for a portion of this site to be redeveloped into mixed-income housing.
In addition, the DC Housing Authority (DCHA) Headquarters will be redeveloped and the new site will provide mixed-income housing as part of New Communities. Currently, DCHA has short-listed five development teams to compete to redevelop the Headquarters.
