Lincoln Heights – Future Activity

The overall development program for the Lincoln Heights/Richardson Dwellings neighborhood includes new residential units  new retail  space. The main development footprints are:

A. 5201 Hayes Street, a former trash-transfer station acquired by the District in 2008, to be developed into approximately 150 total units, including 50 replacement units.
B. Strand Theatre: A historic landmark and former movie house acquired by the District in 2006, the Theatre will be developed as retail and/or commercial use.
C. Lincoln Heights: 440 public housing units slated for demolition and redevelopment.

D. Richardson Dwellings: 190 public housing units slated for demolition and redevelopment.
