Park Morton Steering Committee Meeting

This Thursday, March 23, 2017 will be an OPEN Park Morton Steering Committee meeting.   The meeting will held be at the Parkview Community Center’s community room from 6:30-8:00p at 693 Otis Pl NW, Washington, DC 20010.  Please invite your constituents and community stakeholders who are interested. We will discuss the following:

  1. Park Morton and Bruce Monroe PUD process and status to date
  2. Receive an update from the Park Morton Relocation and Re-occupancy sub-committee
  3. Upcoming Bruce Monroe park planning process

Zoning Commission Hearing: Park Morton PUD

LOCATION: 441 4th Street, NW (2nd floor hearing room)

The Zoning Commission will be holding a public hearing on the Planned Unit Development application for Park Morton. The Park Morton/ Bruce Monroe Planned Unit Development applications are available to review by going to this link  https://app.dcoz.dc.gov/content/search/Search.aspx  and searching for the case numbers: 16-11 and 16-12.

DC City Council Surplus and Disposition Hearing for Bruce Monroe

Documents under review:

This proposal would declare and approve as surplus the District-owned real property located at 3012 Georgia Avenue N.W., known for tax and assessment purposes as Lot 849 in Square 2890 (the “Bruce Monroe property”), and PR 21-909 is to approve the disposition of the Bruce Monroe property. The development plan for the property proposes 273 residential units, of which 90 will be replacement Park Monroe public housing units and 72 market rate residential units. In addition to the development of the property, the District will retain 44,404 square feet of the Bruce Monroe site for use as a public park. Introduced by Chairman Mendelson at the request of the Mayor.
